Past projects of The Restoring Force (TRF) include ramping up basic school infrastructure in government schools in Gurgaon such as toilets for boys and girls, blackboards, drinking water facilities, staff room for teachers, and benches and tables for students, vocational training camps for young adults, and career counseling for high school students

School Infrastructure
Dhankot Senior Secondary School Government Senior Secondary School Dhankot is located in Gurgaon district. The infrastructure of the school was very poor and the students did not have even the basic facilities like drinking water, toilets and laboratory equipments etc. TRF executed renovation work in this school, which includes:
- Constructed toilet blocks for students and teachers
- Constructed drinking water block & provided submersible pump
- Upgraded chemistry laboratory for students
- Provided equipments & furniture in chemistry laboratory
- Provided inverter with batteries
Garhi Harsaru Senior Secondary School
Government Senior Secondary School, Garhi Harsaru is located in Gurgaon district. TRF’s renovation work in this school includes:
- Upgraded physics & chemistry laboratory for students
- Provided equipments & furniture in science laboratory
- Provided inverter with batteries
- Constructed drinking water block & provided submersible pump
Sarhaul Senior Secondary School
Government Senior Secondary School, Sarhaul is located in Gurgaon. The infrastructure available in the school was very poor and the students did not have even the basic facilities.
- Constructed toilet blocks for students & teachers.
- Provided vocational training program in Cutting and Tailoring, Beautician and Electrician
- Provided sound system to facilitate the students to conduct assembly and cultural program in school
Vocational Training
- 51 girls students of Government Senior secondary school Sarhoul Gurgaon district were benefited through the 20 days beautician & stitching training camp in the session of 2006
- 15 boys of government senior secondary school Sarhoul Gurgaon district were benefited through the 20 days electrician training camp in the session of 2006
- 40 girls of government senior secondary school Garhi-Harsaru Gurgaon district were benefited through the 20 days Beautician & stitching training camp in the session of 2005
- 25 girls of government senior secondary school Bhora-Kalan Gurgaon district were benefited through the 20 days tailoring & stitching training camp in the session of 2003
- 20 girls of government senior secondary school Kherla Gurgaon district were benefited through the 30 days tailoring & stitching training camp in the session of 2003
Career Counseling
TRF conducted career counseling sessions for children of rural schools in Gurgaon district, and counseled approximately 10500 students between 2003 and 2008 through 25 schools.
Counseling is done in six phases:
(I) Personality test: This is written test to be conducted by our counselor at schools for 10th class students. This test includes question of 16PF, SPM, EIR and CSA. On the basis of its result we clarify the student what kind of counseling is required.
(II) Case work or working with individual: In the process student is counseled individually & directed according to their eligibility, ability, and interest (social, economical, psychological).
(III) Group counseling is the interactive session in which we answer students' queries and provide guidance and information about right career & courses to be pursue after 10th & 12th class.
(IV) Special counseling for top 10 students: After the above process we select the top ten students, and guide them according to their interest and ability.
(V) Telephonic counseling: we have a session of telephonic counseling for all students.
(VI) Follow-up sessions.
The counseling touched upon the under-mentioned aspects:
- Opportunities available post class 10, 12 and for school dropouts
- How to choose a career/vocation
- Courses to be done to successfully pursue the chosen option
- Where could the students do these courses
- Can one get a loan? If so how does one go about it
- Likely post-course earning potential
Other Interventions
TRF helped in reviving of 200-year-old well near the school of Shivdaspur village, Jaipur (Rajsthan).

In its second decade, TRF launched some very ambitious initiatives
2009: Community Radio Gurgaon Ki Awaaz 107.8 FM, a 22x7 community radio for marginalised community groups in Gurgaon
2009: Sujala: a solar lantern initiative to take light to some of the most backward villages of Rajasthan
2015: Brick Kiln Schools: supporting the set up and running of non-formal schools for children of brick kiln workers in Chaksu, Rajasthan
2016: Well Recharge: Assisting farmers in drought-prone Rajasthan to implement a well-recharge project by harnessing rainwater to recharge an existing well
